Platform Scope

This set of legal documents uses common text across platforms. Platform-specific features and system capabilities apply only where actually provided on the relevant platform and permitted by applicable rules. The current iOS version does not provide invitation-code display, invitation-code sharing, invitation rewards, or custom gift-code redemption. Provisions about using those features do not apply to the current iOS version. Retaining those provisions does not mean that another platform has launched or that those features will be offered in the future.

These feature limitations do not exclude processing of account identifiers, entitlement sources, or necessary records that actually exist in the shared account system. Data processing, account merge, deletion, and necessary retention remain governed by the relevant rules in this set of documents and the records that actually exist. The absence of a user interface does not remove our personal-information protection obligations.

Important Notice

Journey Poster is the App's English display name. The same App is displayed as Photo Atlas in Simplified Chinese. Both names refer to the same operator, Bundle ID, account system, services, and these Terms and are collectively referred to as the “App.”

Please read these Terms carefully before registering, signing in, or using Journey Poster. Pay particular attention to account linking and merge, private iCloud data, map limitations, paid services, account deletion, disclaimers, and dispute provisions.

By affirmatively accepting these Terms, creating or using a Journey Poster account, or continuing to use an account-based feature after a valid update notice, you agree to these Terms and the Journey Poster Privacy Policy. Paid features are also governed by the Journey Poster Paid Services Agreement and the transaction terms shown before purchase.

If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the relevant account-based feature. Nothing in these Terms waives a consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be waived.

1. Parties, Eligibility, and Service

These Terms are between you and Shanghai Chongmu E - Commerce Co., Ltd. (Chinese legal name: 上海冲沐电子商务有限责任公司; Unified Social Credit Code: 91310113MA7F7N8C39), referred to as “Journey Poster,” “we,” “us,” or “our.”

Subject to Platform Scope above, Journey Poster is a photo-Journey organization and creation tool. You can select photos, arrange them by capture time and embedded location, display places and routes using Apple Maps, create shareable works, and use account, private iCloud sync, membership, export credits, invitation codes, gift codes, and Apple in-app purchases.

Journey Poster is not a travel-booking, public social-posting, real-time navigation, emergency-response, medical, financial, or safety service. We do not promise that any single device or third-party cloud service will preserve every file permanently or operate without interruption.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are not old enough to enter a binding agreement where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms as required by applicable law. Journey Poster is not directed to children under 13, and users under 13 may not create an account or use account-based features.

2. Relationship with Apple

These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple provides the App Store, iOS, Photos, iCloud/CloudKit, MapKit, Sign in with Apple, StoreKit, payment, subscription-management, and refund channels under Apple's own terms. We do not control or modify your Apple Account, Apple payment method, App Store eligibility decision, subscription-management interface, or refund decision.

Unless we expressly publish and configure a custom end-user license agreement for a particular territory in App Store Connect, Apple's then-current Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement governs the license to the downloaded App. These Terms govern the Journey Poster account and service and supplement, rather than replace, applicable Apple platform terms. If there is a conflict about the App license, the applicable Apple license controls to the extent of that conflict. Apple is not responsible for operating the Journey Poster account service or providing our customer support.

3. Accounts and Login Methods

3.1 Login options

Depending on version, region, and service availability, the App may offer mainland China mobile number, Apple, email, or Google sign-in. Use only a phone number, email address, or third-party account you lawfully control. You may not impersonate another person, buy or sell an account, or bypass verification.

Different login methods may be linked to one Journey Poster account. A provider account and a Journey Poster account are separate systems. Signing out of or deleting an Apple or Google account does not automatically delete the Journey Poster account.

3.2 Account security

Protect your device, email, phone, Apple or Google account, and device passcode. Never give a verification code to another person. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access, identity misuse, or an incorrect transaction.

Each party is responsible to the extent required by applicable law for loss caused by that party's acts or omissions. We do not exclude responsibility that applicable law assigns to us.

3.3 Linking and conflicts

Before linking another login method, the App requires verification of the current account and the target identity. If the target identity already belongs to another Journey Poster account, the system does not silently overwrite either account. It displays the conflict and provides a choice to cancel, sign in to the original account, or complete an account merge if available and eligible.

Adding a second login method to the same account does not combine data or entitlements because the account is already the same. A complete account merge is different and is irreversible once confirmed.

3.4 Complete account merge

Scope note: invitation and gift-code references below concern only applicable features or records that actually exist, subject to Platform Scope above. They do not offer an invitation reward or redemption service in the current iOS version.

Before a complete merge, the App should display the retained account, source account, login identities, active subscriptions, membership dates, Journey counts, and export-credit results. You must authenticate both sides or satisfy an equivalent security process and affirmatively confirm the result.

Unless the confirmation screen states a different rule required for a specific entitlement:

  • the later membership expiration date is retained; remaining membership durations are not added together;
  • unused paid and subscription-cycle export credits from both accounts are added and keep their original expiration rules;
  • promotional, invitation, welcome, gift, or compensation credits are deduplicated under the source program's rules and, absent a more specific rule, the larger available amount in the same category is retained;
  • original Apple transaction and entitlement-source facts remain unchanged; and
  • Journeys are associated with the retained account without intentionally duplicating the same Journey.

For example, if Account A is a member until September 1 with eight unused paid credits, and Account B is a member until October 1 with three unused paid credits, the merged account is a member until October 1 and retains eleven unused paid credits. If each account has one welcome credit and the welcome program permits only one per merged user, only one welcome credit remains.

If both accounts have active auto-renewing Apple subscriptions, merging the Journey Poster accounts does not cancel either subscription. Each may continue to renew, charge, and grant its verified cycle benefit until you cancel it through Apple.

4. Photos, Journeys, and Your Content

You choose which photos the App processes through the iOS system photo picker. You represent that you have the right to use the photos, text, and other material you provide and that your use does not violate law or another person's privacy, copyright, publicity, or other rights.

You retain your rights in your photos, text, and lawfully created works. You grant us only the limited permission needed to process requested account, sync, map, export, security, and support functions. This permission is non-exclusive, worldwide only because the technical service may cross borders, and limited to operating and protecting the service. It ends when the relevant information is deleted, except for lawful retention, backup, security, and dispute needs.

Journey Poster does not provide a public feed. Sharing uses the iOS share sheet, and you choose recipients and channels. Once you share or save a copy outside Journey Poster, the recipient or destination controls that copy.

5. Local Storage and Private iCloud Sync

Journeys, selected-photo copies or references, locations, routes, drafts, and generated works are primarily stored on the device. When iCloud is available and sync is enabled, complete Journey snapshots and related materials may be stored in the CloudKit Private Database of the iCloud Apple ID currently signed in on that device.

Private iCloud sync is available to free users and members. It is not a membership-only entitlement. We cannot use our server to open another person's private CloudKit database or to reach across Apple IDs. Switching the iCloud Apple ID can prevent access to data in the former account. Only content confirmed as fully synced can be expected to restore after reinstallation or device migration.

You are responsible for maintaining access to your device and iCloud account, sufficient storage and network availability, and independent copies of important originals and works. We will use reasonable care in the portions of the service we control but do not guarantee permanent preservation by a device, operating system, network, or third-party cloud service.

6. Apple Maps and Location Results

Journey Poster uses coordinates embedded in selected photos and Apple MapKit to display places and calculate walking or driving routes. It does not request continuous device location in the described release.

Photo times or coordinates may be missing or inaccurate. Apple Maps place labels, roads, and routes can also be incomplete, delayed, or wrong. A Journey Poster route is a creative reconstruction and must not be used for live navigation, emergency response, legal proof of presence, or a safety-critical decision.

7. Templates, Works, and Export Credits

A free account is subject to the current Journey, photo, template, and export limits shown in the App. A valid member can use the membership features shown before purchase. Product limits may include a reasonable technical maximum even when a marketing description says a membership removes a free-tier limit.

One export credit is used when a new final work is successfully generated locally and atomically settled by the server. Saving or sharing the same successful work again does not use another credit. A change to photos, text, crop, route position, layout, template, or another setting that changes the final image creates a new work and requires another credit.

Price, offer eligibility, purchase confirmation, and tax are determined by StoreKit and the App Store purchase sheet. Auto-renewal, cancellation, restoration, refund, and entitlement adjustment are described in the Paid Services Agreement.

When we describe separately purchased credits as having “no preset expiration,” that means no fixed expiration is assigned while Journey Poster continues to provide the corresponding export service. It is not a promise of perpetual product operation, file storage, or third-party service availability. If the service materially changes or ends, we will address unused paid digital entitlements as required by applicable law.

8. Restore Purchases

Membership status and remaining export credits normally restore from our server ledger after you sign in to the original Journey Poster account. “Restore Purchases” is an exception-reconciliation function for a reinstall, device change, missing server grant, stale Apple state, or transaction-ownership conflict.

Restoration does not charge again and does not grant an entitlement twice. Apple generally does not redownload consumed consumable products; the remaining balance of a verified consumable purchase is restored from the Journey Poster server ledger. If an Apple subscription belongs to another Journey Poster account, the system does not silently transfer it and may ask you to use the original account, complete an eligible account merge, or complete a supported subscription-beneficiary migration.

9. Acceptable Use

Scope note: invitation and gift-code references below concern only applicable features or records that actually exist, subject to Platform Scope above. They do not offer an invitation reward or redemption service in the current iOS version.

You must not:

  • violate law, public safety, intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or another person's rights;
  • process or share unlawful content;
  • bulk-register accounts, abuse verification codes, manipulate invitations or gift codes, fabricate transactions, or evade payment;
  • reverse engineer except where law expressly permits it, attack, overload, interfere with, or bypass security or permissions;
  • automate excessive requests or use the service to develop or train a competing model or service without permission; or
  • sell, rent, or improperly share an account, membership, export credit, or transaction entitlement.

If necessary to address fraud, abuse, a security incident, a legal requirement, or an attack, we may warn you, limit a feature, reverse an improperly obtained entitlement, suspend an account, or terminate service. We will provide an explanation and reasonable appeal channel when practical and legally appropriate, except when immediate security action or law prevents advance notice.

10. Service Changes, Availability, and Termination

We may update the App or service for product, security, cost, provider, or legal reasons. We will provide notice of a material adverse change as required by law and will not use a terms update alone to retroactively remove an entitlement you already paid for and lawfully obtained.

We try to give notice of planned maintenance. Apple services, networks, devices, force majeure, and other circumstances outside our control may interrupt service. We will make reasonable efforts to restore the portions we control. This section does not excuse responsibility imposed on us by applicable law.

You may stop using Journey Poster at any time. Stopping use, signing out, uninstalling, or deleting a Journey Poster account does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription or submit an Apple refund request.

11. Intellectual Property and App License

The Journey Poster software, interface, trademarks, templates, copy, code, and service materials are owned by us or our licensors. Subject to these Terms and the applicable Apple EULA, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple-branded products you own or control and as otherwise permitted by Apple usage rules.

Except where law permits or we give written authorization, you may not copy, sell, rent, publicly distribute, modify, or create derivative software or commercial template products from our protected materials. This restriction does not take away your rights in your own photos, text, and lawful generated works or restrict a use that applicable law permits despite a contract term.

If you provide feedback, you permit us to use it without payment or obligation, provided we do not publicly identify you without permission.

12. Account Deletion

You may request deletion under “My Account” > “Settings” > “Account & Security” > “Delete Account.” The process disables the Journey Poster account, login identities, sessions, and devices; removes Journey data, caches, and App photo copies from the current device; and sends Apple a request to delete the custom CloudKit Record Zone assigned to the current Journey Poster account.

Cloud cleanup depends on the device remaining signed in to the original iCloud Apple ID, network availability, and Apple services. The App retains and retries an unconfirmed request and reports completion only after Apple confirms success. The request does not delete the entire iCloud account, a Zone for another Journey Poster account, an original in the system Photos library, or a work already saved there.

“Irreversible” means that the old Journey Poster account, its login relationships, and its account entitlements cannot be restored by creating a new account. It does not mean every record subject to transaction, tax, security, consent, refund, backup, dispute, or legal retention is physically erased at the same instant. Retained information is handled under the retention section of the Privacy Policy and does not remain available for ordinary account use.

Deleting the account does not cancel an Apple subscription, submit a refund request, or delete a saved system Photos item. See the Account Deletion Instructions for the full scope.

13. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Journey Poster and its content are provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not promise that every photo contains usable metadata, every map or route is accurate, every selected third-party service is uninterrupted, or every file can be recovered after a device, account, storage, or sync failure.

We do not disclaim an express written commitment made at purchase, a warranty that cannot legally be excluded, responsibility for our fraud or willful misconduct, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence where non-excludable, or any other responsibility that law does not permit us to exclude.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, neither party is liable to the other for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages that were not reasonably foreseeable when the agreement was made. This limitation does not apply where prohibited, including to liability that cannot be limited for consumer rights, personal-information violations, fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, or personal injury.

Where applicable law permits a monetary cap for a claim arising from a paid Journey Poster service, our aggregate liability for that claim will not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid to us through Apple for the affected Journey Poster service during the 12 months before the event; or (b) US$100. This cap does not apply to an obligation or remedy that applicable law does not allow us to cap.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions or damage limitations. In those jurisdictions, the exclusions and limitations apply only to the extent permitted.

15. Privacy and Electronic Communications

The Privacy Policy explains the categories, purposes, providers, retention, international processing, and user rights associated with the service. Operational emails or messages necessary for authentication, security, purchases, account changes, and legal notices are part of the service and are not promotional marketing.

If we later offer marketing communications, we will provide the consent and opt-out required by applicable law. You remain responsible for keeping the email address or other account contact method accurate enough to receive important notices.

16. Updates, Version Evidence, and Language

Each legal document has a permanent ID, version, locale, public URL, publication date, and SHA-256 source digest. The server records the document and locale presented, agreement action, time, App version, Build, device record, account, URL, and digest so the accepted text can be reconstructed.

A material change to accounts, data processing, paid obligations, dispute terms, or important user rights will be presented prominently, and renewed affirmative agreement will be obtained where required. Formatting, typographical, or non-substantive link corrections generally do not require renewed agreement.

The English and Simplified Chinese documents are localized counterparts intended to describe the same product facts and core rules. For a user who is shown and affirmatively accepts the English version, the English text governs that acceptance to the extent of an inconsistency, subject always to non-waivable applicable law. Company registration facts may also appear in their official Chinese form.

17. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of mainland China, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except that this choice does not deprive a consumer of mandatory protections available under the law of the consumer's habitual residence.

Before filing a claim, either party may contact the other and attempt a good-faith informal resolution. You can contact zack@chongmuec.com; we will not require you to waive a limitation period or a right to contact a regulator or court while informal discussion is pending.

If a dispute is not resolved, either party may bring it in a court with jurisdiction under applicable law. These Terms do not impose mandatory arbitration, waive a jury trial where one is available, or waive a right to participate in a class or representative proceeding where such a waiver would otherwise be required. Nothing limits your right to complain to a consumer-protection, privacy, or other competent authority.

18. General Terms and Contact

If a provision is unenforceable, it will be enforced to the maximum lawful extent and the remaining provisions continue. A failure to enforce a provision once is not a waiver. You may not transfer the Journey Poster account or these Terms without our consent, except as mandatory law permits. We may transfer the agreement in connection with a merger, reorganization, or sale only with the notice and protections required by law.

These Terms, the Privacy Policy, Paid Services Agreement, purchase information you confirm, and applicable Apple terms form the agreement relevant to your use. A heading is for convenience and does not change meaning.
